水野修孝といえば、”グループ音楽”や70年代以降のジャズオーケストラを思い浮かべるが、電子音楽作品が結構あったのは意外。これまでほとんど語られなかった埋もれた作品を一挙公開！その”グループ音楽”結成時に東京芸大で作った「コンクレートのための交響曲」(1960, disc 2 tr.1-3)、NHK電子音楽スタジオでの未発表作品「怒りの日」(1972, disc 1 tr.1-3)、さらには米カリフォルニアのMills Collegeでブックラやムーグシンセを使った「Meditation No.1」(disc1 tr.7)など、どれも貴重な記録。京成電鉄の上野近くの駅地下道でのフィールドレコーディング(disc 3 tr.7)なんてのも。水野の自宅で発見された、崩壊寸前のテープをすべてつぎこんでいきなり３枚組。MUST !!!

Shuko Mizuno (1934-) is well known as a member of the improvisation group "Group ONGAKU", which he formed with Takehisa Kosugi, Yasunao Tone and others. Since the 1970s, he has also been known for his jazz orchestral works. However, the fact that he also created numerous electronic music works has been unknown until now. This CD is the world premiere of all the tapes that were discovered in Mizuno's home and were on the verge of collapse! It includes works he made at Tokyo University of the Arts during his time with "Group Ongaku," previously unreleased works from the NHK Electronic Music Studio, and pieces using Moog and Buchla synthesizers at Mills College in California. He wrote, "My works should be playbacked loudly".
